THE SECOND LETTER HEI

to BEHOLD

John 1:29-36
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said,
'Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! ...
And looking at Jesus as He walked, he said, 'Behold the Lamb of God!' "

Revelation 13:8 ...the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

HEI is a word that means to BEHOLD. It is the 'origin point of speech' and as such, also the letter of THOUGHTS, WORDS, and ACTIONS. Ginsburgh: The root of the word speech in Hebrew, davar, means "leadership". Leadership implies hierarchy ... the King, and likewise every leader, rules through his power of speech, as is said, "By the word of the King is His sovereignty."

John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and said, 'Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. LOOK, SEE, how he walks. Jesus came to remove all doubt of the truth of the Word of God. But the world yet sins in 'unbelief'. Jesus always walked in mercy and forgiveness toward others, even toward those who betrayed him and those who killed him.

John 16
..7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage
.
...that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not
....come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.
..8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin,
.....and of righteousness, and of judgment:
..9 of sin, because they do not believe in Me;
10
of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more;
11
of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.

HEI for the Christian is to BEHOLD and 'point to' the Lamb of God and walk as He taught us to walk, casting down our vain imaginations and everything that exalts itself against the Word of God. Thoughts, words and actions are considered the 'garments of the soul'. If the law of God is not written on a heart, that one is 'naked'. HEI is the 'thoughts, words, and actions' of Jehovah God as the witness of our walk with Him.

2 Corinthians 10 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal
..but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
5 casting down arguments and every high thing that
..exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing ..every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,
6 and being ready to punish all disobedience
..when your obedience is fulfilled.

Revelation 16:15 "Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches,
and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked
and they see his shame."

Revelation 3
14 These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness,
....the Beginning of the creation of God:
15
I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot.
....I could wish you were cold or hot.
16 So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot,
....I will vomit you out of My mouth.
17 Because you say, 'I am rich, have become wealthy,
....and have need of nothing'--and do not know that you are wretched,
....miserable, poor, blind, and naked--
18 I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire,
....that you may be rich; and white garments,
....that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness
....may not be revealed;
....and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.
19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.
....Therefore be zealous and repent.
20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock.
....If anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
....I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
21 To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne,
....as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.
22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

Selah
Shalom!
