Revelation 17 'BEGINNINGS' -2 of 2

Through God we will do valiantly for it is He that will tread down our enemies and this by overcoming the rebellion of Babylon - confusion by mixing..

In Genesis 10 - ALEF YUD - Nimrod founds Babel. ALEF, the first letter, is the 'first step': submitting to the instruction of Jehovah and His authority - YUD. In Genesis 11 - KAF - the building of the Tower [ ldgm ] of Babel takes place in the 'land of Cham' [hot, passionate], a tower whose top is to 'reach heaven':

KAF is the letter of POWER, particularly the 'suppression of evil'. KAF means 'PALM of the hand' and forms the symbol of 'the cloud'. When Israel was crossing the Red Sea, Moses held his PALMS to heaven, and the sea was held open and the enemy held back. They were preceded and followed by a cloud - God who is a consuming fire [Deueronomy 4:24]. If you have been witness to a forest fire - you see a 'cloud' (of smoke) by day, fire by night, but it is the 'same fire' by night or day.

Genesis 11:

ALEF 1: .. Now the whole earth had one language and one speech
BEYT 2: .. they found a plain in the land of Shinar [country of two rivers],
.............. and they dwelt there,
GIMEL 3: .They had brick [=hnbl (bl heart ... hn wailing)] for stone,
.............. and they had asphalt [=rmx (x consummate life ... rm bitterness)] for mortar.
DALET 4: . And they said, "Come, let us build ourselves a city,
.............. and a tower [ ldgm ] whose top is in the heavens; let us
.............. make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered abroad
.............. over the face of the whole earth.

There are some interesting observations. A people, chosen, espoused by God, called by His name, begin to build a life of 'consummate life bitterness - heart wailings' and choose a lifestyle not of God. In reality a 'marriage headed for divorce' and a resultant harlot lifestyle. Sound familiar? They desire and choose to make a name for themselves - - not trusting God and His providence, yet knowing the judgment of the flood.

Genesis 11 continues with the descendants of Shem, the first being
Arphaxad: "I shall fail as the breast: he cursed the breast-bottle"
Arphaxad begets
Salah: 'sprout' (of life) and Salah begets
Eber: the region beyond. Eber beget
Peleg: division and Peleg begets
Reu: friend. Reu begets
Serug: branch and Serug begets
Nahor [snorting (of horses)]. Nahor begets
Terah: station (delay) - a station of Israel in the wilderness -

and Terah begets Abram [exalted Father] to be
Abraham: father of a multitude.

Luke 12:51
Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division

God desires 'division' between 'good and evil' - Christ and 'not Christ.'.

The 'wilderness station [midbar - rbdm ] is embarked on in Revelation 12 culminating in Revelation 17 - the 'heart and the mouth'. The way of the wilderness is a training ground in the 'wisdom of God', the 'water of the Word', culminating in the 'promise'.

In making a 'name for themselves' we see the intervention of God / Christ. Jesus is 'the Name above all names, a 'sprout of life' from the 'region beyond'. He came to bring division between darkness and light. He is friend that sticks closer than a brother, a friend that tells his disciples all that his Father has told him. He is the branch. In the book of revelation we see the horses - about to run - 'snorting'. There is a 'delay', possibly silence in heaven for a half hour - - but God / Christ - is the father of a multitude. And the 'rebellious tower'? Seen in the face of Mary Magdalene, a prostitute / harlot who turned to Christ as her savior.

Luke 8:2
and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities--
Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons,

Mary means rebellious - - Magdalene means 'tower' out of whom was cast 'seven demons'. 'Seven come eleven' - the difference of 4 - the DOOR.

Genesis 12: God calls Abram out of Ur of the Chaldees [light (wisdom, understanding) of the clod-breakers]. He tells him to go to 'a land that I will show you' -Canaan - Cham's territory. Recall that in Genesis 9:25 Noah called a curse on Canaan to be a 'servant of servants'. But God tells Abram, a descendant of the name, to go to the territory of Cham and that he will be and bring a 'blessing'. So like God's redemptive mercy.

Genesis 12
3 I will bless those who bless, you, and I will curse him who curses you;
.. and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

Even so, there was a famine in that land and Abram took his family to Egypt. [Revelation 11:8 - Jerusalem, spiritually called Sodom and Egypt] and Abraham was blessed greatly in his sojourn there.

In Genesis 13 Abram returns to Canaan [the lowland] to inherit Canaan. He and his nephew Lot [covering] are both rich in herds and livestock and to avert strife they part, Lot going toward Jordan [descent (into death)] toward Sodom [burning] before the Lord had destroyed Sodom.

The second mention of 'bricks' is in Exodus [Shemot: the names]:

Exodus 1:14
[2] Exodus: relationship - [1] master: [14] offspring
And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick,
and in all manner of service in the field: all their service,
wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

Chapter 14 [NUN: KINGDOM HEIRS] the battle of the kings ensues. Rebellion occurs in the 13th year of serving Chedorlaomer [handful of sheaves] and now five kings battle 4 kings. Lot [covering] and his family are taken captive and goes to their rescue [Genesis 14:14], then giving tithe to Melchizedek (king of Righteousness), king of Salem (Jerusalem).

The root of TITHE is r#(. The letter SHIN actually means TEETH and man's 32 teeth represent 'wisdom'. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God, the 'Good Shepherd of the Sheep'. He leads his sheep to good pasture - that they 'chew the cud' of the wisdom of the Word, consuming it completely. Teeth 'chew' - the masticate food that it can be easily consumed. Both teeth and fire and known for 'consuming'. The head represents knowing the 'beginning of wisdom', the fear of the Lord. When God receives 'tithe', he began with One, Adam and Eve, the two became one, and God cut covenant with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. There are twelve tribes. When Jesus came he chose 12 leaders - 12 apostles from whom God will receive his TITHE - 12,000 X 12 - sealed - 144,000 firstfruits to the Lamb.

There are several idioms that are expressed from 'tithe', such as 'having eyes in the back of one's head'. In other words, 'to know what is going on around you' and having the wisdom to deal with it. OR - 'I'd give my 'eye teeth' for that, expressing something that is desirable. And of of course 'an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth', as the call for justice. The TITHE is aware of the evil they face, and desire the mind of Christ in the fear of the Lord, the beginning wisdom, knowing all justice is in Christ. The TITHE of Christ, the firstfruits of the Lamb, 'understand the journey, having an all-consuming passion for the mind of Christ'. They follow the Lamb wherever He goes. They overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the Word of their testimony and love not their lives - to the death.

IN THE BEGINNING:

....... For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them,
....... and that Rock was Christ.

IN CHRIST:

After His death, Jesus was exalted to the right hand of power [Luke 22:69; Hebrews 1:3]. JESUS CHRIST is KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, King of Kings, Lord of Lords [Revelation 17 & 19]. He is returning and will judge the living and the dead. [Acts 1:11; Acts 10:42; 2 Timothy 4:1; 1 Peter 4:5]. He will avenge 'the blood of the prophets and martyrs:

Matthew 5:13
"You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor,
how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to
be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.

Genesis 14:3
.. twelve years they served Chedorlaomer [handful of sheaves],
.. and in the thirteenth year they rebelled.''

4 kings - against 5:
The first four KINGS:
A sayer of darkness, the sayer falls, he is lion-like, having a handful of sheaves, a great son.

JESUS CHRIST was a sayer of 'darkness / concealed wisdom' speaking in parables. The sayer falls [dies]. He is the Lamb that is lion-like, having a handful of sheaves [the twelve apostles]. A great Son in whom His Father is well pleased.

The first four KINGDOMS:
Shinar, the country of two-rivers, the Tigris (Hiddekel/ as a rapid arrow) and the Euphrates (fruitfulness). Ellasar, God is chastener, Elam which is eternity. The 'nations' remain as a 'swarm of locusts' that strip a field.

IN CHRIST, Jesus was as an arrow shot from the bow of Judah bringing fruitfulness to his possession. He was chastened by God, taking our punishment upon Himself. His kingdom is eternity. The book of Joel gives vision to the 'locusts'.


The FIVE KINGS:
A son of evil, with iniquity. He is the splendor of His Father, taking to 'lofty flight', coming to insignificance.

The five KINGDOMS:
These kingdoms are to be 'heaven like' - heaven being God, a consuming fire, His Word as fire, bringing a baptism of fire and His Word as living water, bringing life. These five kingdoms are seen now: burning, submersion, red earth, as (glory) gazelles, deer, going to destruction.
