The LAW of Marriage - - 2 of 2

In Genesis 2 God causes a deep sleep to fall on Adam and he brings forth a 'covenant relationship' wife. But when sin entered, death entered severing their relationship with God in the 'Spirit of life'.

Genesis 2
21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept;
....and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place.
22 Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into
....He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.
23 And Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh ...

The 'law of marriage' is that a woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives [Romans 7:2]. In the spoken and consummated covenant, the two have become one in 'body, soul, and spirit'. [Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:5; Mark 10:8] [Physical] death is the release of the marriage covenant [Romans 7:2].

The BRIDE, the Holy Jerusalem [Revelation 21] enters marriage covenant relationship with her BRIDEGROOM, Jesus Christ, being 'BONE of my bones, FLESH of my flesh.' BONE, 'ec( etsem' is defined as: 'self-same substance'; external body, limbs, members. FLESH, 'r#b basar', is 'blood relation' from its root which means 'to announce (salvation) as good news, preach'. Man was created in God's image. Woman [Jerusalem] was taken from man [Jesus Christ (John 19:5)] to be of his 'self-same substance (body, soul, and spirit). an external body of blood relation to preach the good news of salvation.

Isaiah 2:3 - Micah 4:2
For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

BASAR also tells of.... 'rb..the Son of HIs .... #.. Love' (Colossians 1:14).... and also 'r#..prince / ruler .... b..(entering wife) (greeting his) family. Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh entered Jerusalem (his wife) and 'greeted his family'. Flesh and bone reveal the 'beginning of a love/grace wife' taken from the 'Messiah, the Righteous One, the Lamb of God. The physical death of Jesus Christ was the 'release of the law of sin and death' that Jerusalem (her people) could now enter a new marriage covenant with Messiah Christ by the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ - - as (Eve) a 'life-giver'.

Romans 7
.4 you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ,
.... that you may be married to another--to Him who was raised from the dead,
.... that we should bear fruit to God.
.5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law
.... were at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
.6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by,
........ vs 5 sinful passions --- at work in our members to bear fruit to death.
.... so that WE SHOULD SERVE in the newness of the Spirit
.... and not in the oldness of the letter.

.7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary,
.... I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have
.... known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet.
.8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of
.... evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead.
.9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came,
.... sin revived and I died.
10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death.
11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.

12 Therefore the LAW IS HOLY, and the commandment holy and just and good.
12 Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might

14 For we know that the LAW IS SPIRITUAL, but I am carnal, SOLD under sin.

The 'law of marriage' is the 'death of our carnal nature' that we may embrace the 'covenant of the life by His Spirit'.
