In Revelation 7 John, who is yet in the Spirit on 'the Lord's Day -
DAY OF THE LORD' witnesses the sealing of the 144,000 of
the tribes of Israel. He then is shown a great multitude which
no man could number that made their robes white in the
GREAT TRIBULATION.
Revelation 11 speaks of the TWO WITNESSES who prophesy 1260 days / 42 months [3 1/2 years]. This time period would be concurrent with the beginning of the 'blowing of the trumpets of Revelation 8 [Trumps 1 thru 6]. These 2 witnesses finish their testimony with the end of the 6th trumpet period. After their deaths, and 3 1/2 days later their resurrection, and being called up to heaven, the 7th trumpet is blown signaling the last 3 1/2 years of the tribulation - THE GREAT TRIBULATION - has begun.
THE CHURCH OF EPHESUS knowing God, and His Word, is seduced to 'lawlessness' - leaving [aphemi: divorcing] her first love - - now open to COMPROMISE.
The faithful remnant - THE CHURCH OF SMYRNA experiences persecution and is encouraged to remain faithful. They will have persecution '10 days' - the time period of the 'DAYS OF AWE / REPENTANCE' between Yom Teruah [Trumpets] and Yom Kippur [Atonement for the land of Israel].
TRUMP 1: Vegetation destroyed
Rev 8:7 The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed,
mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth.
And a third of the trees were burned up,
and all green grass was burned up.
TRUMP 2: Death 'in the seas'
Rev 8:8 Then the second angel sounded: And something LIKE A
GREAT MOUNTAIN burning with fire was THROWN INTO THE SEA,
and a third of the sea became blood.
9 And a third of the living creatures in the sea died,
and a third of the ships were destroyed.
God the Refuge of His People and Conqueror of the Nations [Trumpet 1 thru 4]
Psa 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in TROUBLE
2 Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed,
and though the MOUNTAINS BE CARRIED INTO THE MIDST OF THE SEA;
3 Though its WATERS roar and BE TROUBLED, though the MOUNTAINS SHAKE ...
Mat 21:19 And seeing a FIG TREE by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it
but LEAVES and said to it, 'LET NO FRUIT [offsrping; posterity] GROW ON YOU
ever again.' IMMEDIATELY the fig tree withered away.
21 Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what
was done to the FIG TREE, but also if you say to this MOUNTAIN 'BE REMOVED
AND CAST INTO THE SEA,' it will be done. [2Chronicles 7]
TRUMP 3: Waters [& wisdom] become WORMWOOD
Rev 8:10 Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven,
burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers
and on the springs of water.
11 The name of the star is WORMWOOD. A THIRD OF THE WATERS
BECAME WORMWOOD, and many men died from the water,
because it was made bitter.
Deu 29:18; Jer 9; 23; Lam 3:15-19; Amos 5:7; 6:12; REV 8
Jer 9:14-15 But (they) have walked after the imagination of their own heart, and after
Baalim, which their fathers taught them; therefore thus says the Lord of host, the
God of Israel; behold, I will feed them even this people with WORMWOOD, and
give them WATER OF GALL to DRINK.
Jer 23:15 Therefore thus says the Lord of Hosts concerning the prophets. Behold I will
feed them with WORMWOOD, and make them DRINK THE WATER OF GALL;
for from the prophets of JERUSALEM IS PROFANENESS gone forth into all the land.
THE CHURCH OF PERGAMOS purgos: TOWER [Babel] gamos: MARRIED - COMPROMISES with what is immoral and mixed with idolatry. At TRUMP 3, PERGAMOS is reaping the fruit of rebellious ways, being forced to drink and swallow the bitter results, as '2 witnesses [Rev 11:6] continue their prophesy of 3 1/2 years, 1260 days/ 42 months, in Jerusalem, God's prophetic provision and warning for this time. The court outside has been given to the 'Gentiles' - 'pateo': who desecrate the holy city and attempt to thwart the preaching of the gospel.
THE CHURCH OF THYATIRA has CORRUPTED herself teaching what Pergamos is practicing, opening the church, her people, up to the 'Great Tribulation' and death UNLESS she repents.
TRUMP 4: Heavenly signs begin 3 woes
great cosmic signs [sun, moon, stars] in the heaven.
severe torment upon 'only those men who DO NOT
have the seal of God on their foreheads. [Rev 11:6]
TRUMP 6: WOE 2 reveals an army of 200 million horsemen who
kill 1/3 of mankind. This trump concludes the
testimony of the two witnesses, their death at the
hand of the 'beast who ascends out of the bottomless
pit'. Their resurrection 3 1/2 days later marks the
MID-POINT of the 7 year tribulation.
'seal, and not write, their testimony'.
Rev 10:5 angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the
land raised up his HAND to heaven
6 and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created
heaven and the things that are in it, the earth and the things
that are in it, and the sea and the things that are in it, that
there should be delay no longer,
7 but in the days of the sounding of the seventh angel, when
he is about to sound, the mystery of God would be finished,
as He declared to His servants the prophets.
who stand beside the Lord of the whole earth. The hands of
ZERUBBABEL [descended from Babel] have laid the founda-
tion of the temple - and God's two 'lampstands' - anointed ones
WITNESSES have been prophesying thru the trumpet
blasts and will finish their testimony before the blowing of the
7th TRUMPET. The 2 WITNESSES are killed, their dead bodies
lie in the street of JERUSALEM - spiritual SODOM & EGYPT
for 3 1/2 days. God raises them from the dead and calls them
to heaven.
Note that THE CHURCH OF THYATIRA was told:
Rev 2:20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel,
who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual
immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.
21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her
into GREAT TRIBULATION, unless they repent of their deeds.
23 I WILL KILL HER CHILDREN WITH DEATH, and all the churches shall know that
I AM HE who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you
according to your works.
24 Now to you I say, and to the rest in THYATIRA [odor of affliction / tribulation],
as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan,
as they say, I will put on you no other burden.
25 But hold fast what you have till I come.
26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give
power over the nations—
27 shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces like the
potter’s vessels’— as I also have received from My Father;
28 and I will give him the morning star.
The church of Thyatira [odor of affliction] appears to have suffered the WOES. The remnant that REPENTS appears to be the manifestation of the Rev 12:11, those who overcame by the blood of the Lamb, the Word of their testimony, and did not love their lives to the death (the birth of the male child caught up to the throne). Christ's birth was in conjunction with the spring feasts. The birth of this child has to do with the fall feasts - and the promise to Thyatira.
The blowing of TRUMP 7 will usher in THE GREAT TRIBULATION - Revelation 12 - when the devil is cast out of heaven to earth.
It is also at this point we will consider the 'timing' of the rapture - - according to Scripture.
