Revelation 5 - the Hebrew letter / number HEI

The ancient symbol for HEI, the name being BEHOLD / TAKE Seed, was like a man with extended arms.  It then developed like a 'mirror image E', which if you turn the ancient symbol sideways you can see similarities.  HEI present form is like a 'window' revealing what is 'on the other side'.  John the Baptist pointed to Jesus [John 1:29-36] BEHOLD the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world', revealing the 'one from the other side'.

HEI is also the letter of revealing 'thoughts, words, actions'.  BEHOLD the Lamb.

5:5  BEHOLD, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David,
has prevailed to open the SCROLL and to loose its seven seals.”
5:6  and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain ...
5:7 ... Worthy Is the Lamb

Revelation 5 brings attention to a SCROLL that is SEALED with 7 seals which are detailed in Revelation 6.  The 'six seals' of Revelation 6 appear to be 'judgment beginning with the house of God' (tribulation), the 7th seal calling for the trumpets, 'judgment on the world.'   This chapter, because of the SCROLL and seals lends itself to the Yom Teruah period (Rosh ha Shanah event), yet when the 24 elders, verse 8, are seen with the bowls of incense, which are the prayers of the saints - -that is a Yom Kippur event.

The SCROLL is mentioned 5 times, once in each of the first five verses.  The sixth verse reveals 'the Lamb' and the scroll is again mentioned another 3 times.  LAMB is mentioned 5 times throughout Revelation 5.  The 24 elders are also mentioned 5 times.

5:1 And I saw in the right hand of Him who sat on the throne
a SCROLL  written inside and on the back,
    sealed with seven seals

5:2 Then I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice,
“Who is worthy to open the SCROLL and to loose its seals?”

5:3 And no one in heaven or on the earth or under the earth
was able to open the SCROLL, or to look at it.

         Philippians 2:9-11

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name
which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,  and
that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

5:4 So I wept much, because no one was found worthy
to open and read the SCROLL, or to look at it.

5:5 But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has prevailed to open the SCROLL and to loose its seven seals.”

5:6 And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures,
and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as though it had been slain,
having seven horns and seven eyes,
which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth.

5:7  Then He came and took the SCROLL
out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. Worthy Is the Lamb

5:8   Now when He had taken the SCROLL
        the four living creatures
        and the twenty-four elders
        fell down before the Lamb,
        each having a harp,
and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.

5:9   And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the SCROLL

        And to open its seals;
        For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

5:10  And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”

5:11 Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne,
        the living creatures,
        and the elders;
and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand,
        [one hundred million]
        and thousands of thousands,

5:12  saying with a loud voice:
Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”

5:13  And every creature which is
         in heaven and
         on the earth and
         under the earth and
such as are in the sea,
and all that are in them, I heard saying:

Blessing and honor and glory and power
Be to Him who sits on the throne,
And to the Lamb, forever and ever!”

5:14 Then the four living creatures said, “Amen!”
And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him
        who lives forever and ever.
