The fourth letter of the Name of JESUS / YESHUA, a vowel sound, is VAV, by symbol the NAIL, by meaning 'HOOK. The 'vavim' are hooks that hold the curtains made for for the tent of meeting / tabernacle. The first time the VAV appears it is 'connecting' the heavens and the earth. Jesus taught his apostles to pray, 'thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.' For God's will to be done, man must walk in the 'light' of the Word, the walk that Christ walked. Christ prophesied that He would be 'lifted up' - as an 'upright' man - and draw all men to Himself. Uprightness comes only through the cross.
John 12:32-33
32 And I, if I am lifted up from the earth,
... will draw all peoples to Myself."
33 This He said, signifying by what death He would die.
Jesus is the 'connection' of 'life and death'. And as the connection - He is the 'door' that all men must pass through - the door of entry and the door of exiting. Jesus is the 'way the truth, and the life' and the 'light of the world'.
In Hebrew the word for 'hear' is also the word meaning 'to obey'. Hearing is not 'hearing' without OBEDIENCE. If one does not obey what he 'hears', there is a problem with rebellion and /or deafness. To hear is to obey. Many talk - few walk.
