AYIN is the letter of DIVINE PROVIDENCE - and also 'eye; color; fountain; in Aramaic: sheep.'
Rabbi Ginsburgh:
"It [the land of Israel] is the land which God your God seeks; the eyes of God your God are always [looking] at it, from the beginning of the year to the end of the year." Upon entering the Land of Israel, the second city to be conquered by Joshua was Ai, spelled ayin-yud, an abbreviated form of ayin (ayin-yud-nun, the nun falls) "the Eye."
Remember the problem Israel had at Ai - Achan [trouble] hid a 'Babylonian garment' in his 'tent' [See post 53 on 7-23]. When 'trouble' comes, its necessary to look for a hidden 'harlot' garment. In the Book of Numbers [BaMidbar rbdm: m WATER rbd of the WORD] IF a woman is suspect of being unfaithful, she is brought before the priest who holds the 'bitter water of a curse' in his hand and an oath is sworn over the woman. If the woman has not committed iniquity, the cruse will not hurt her - but if she has, she becomes barren - 'unfruitful' - unable to bear children.
(Leviticus 15:1-33)
1 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying:
2 "Command the children of Israel that they put out of the camp
...every leper, everyone who has a discharge,
...and whoever becomes defiled by a corpse.
3 You shall put out both male and female; you shall put them outside
...the camp, that they may not defile their camps
...in the midst of which I dwell."
4 And the children of Israel did so, and put them outside the camp;
...as the LORD spoke to Moses, so the children of Israel did.
Confession and Restitution
(Leviticus 6:1-7)
5 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
6 "Speak to the children of Israel:
...When a man or woman commits any sin that men commit in
...unfaithfulness against the LORD, and that person is guilty,
7. then he shall confess the sin which he has committed.
...He shall make restitution for his trespass in full,
...plus one-fifth of it, and give it to the one he has wronged.
8. But if the man has no relative to whom restitution may be made
...for the wrong, the restitution for the wrong must go to the LORD
...for the priest, in addition to the ram of the atonement with which
...atonement is made for him.
9. Every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel,
....which they bring to the priest, shall be his.
10 And every man's holy things shall be his;
....whatever any man gives the priest shall be his.'"
Concerning Unfaithful Wives
11 And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,
12 Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:
... If any man's wife goes astray and behaves unfaithfully toward him,
13 and a man lies with her carnally, and it is hidden from the eyes
... of her husband, and it is concealed that she has defiled herself,
... and there was no witness against her, nor was she caught
14 if the spirit of jealousy comes upon him and he becomes jealous of
... his wife, who has defiled herself; or if the spirit of jealousy comes
....upon him and he becomes jealous of his wife,
....although she has not defiled herself
15 then the man shall bring his wife to the priest. He shall bring
....the offering required for her, one-tenth of an ephah of barley meal;
....he shall pour no oil on it and put no frankincense on it, because it
....is a grain offering of jealousy, an offering for remembering,
....for bringing iniquity to remembrance.
16 And the priest shall bring her near, and set her before the LORD.
17 The priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel,
...and take some of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle
...and put it into the water.
18 Then the priest shall stand the woman before the LORD, uncover
....the woman's head, and put the offering for remembering in her hands,
....which is the grain offering of jealousy. And the priest shall have in his
....hand the bitter water that brings a curse.
19 And the priest shall put her under oath, and say to the woman,
....If no man has lain with you, and if you have not gone astray
....to uncleanness while under your husband's authority,
....be free from this bitter water that brings a curse.
20 But if you have gone astray while under your husband's authority,
....and if you have defiled yourself and some man other than your
....husband has lain with you"
21 then the priest shall put the woman under the oath of the curse,
....and he shall say to the woman"the LORD make you a curse
....and an oath among your people, when the LORD makes your
....thigh rot and your belly swell;
22 and may this water that causes the curse go into your stomach,
....and make your belly swell and your thigh rot."
....Then the woman shall say, "Amen, so be it."
23 Then the priest shall write these curses in a book,
....and he shall scrape them off into the bitter water.
24 And he shall make the woman drink the bitter water that brings a curse,
....and the water that brings the curse shall enter her to become bitter.
25 Then the priest shall take the grain offering of jealousy from the
....woman's hand, shall wave the offering before the LORD, and bring it to the altar;
26 and the priest shall take a handful of the offering, as its memorial portion,
....burn it on the altar, and afterward make the woman drink the water.
27 When he has made her drink the water, then it shall be,
....if she has defiled herself and behaved unfaithfully toward her husband,
....that the water that brings a curse will enter her and become bitter,
....and her belly will swell, her thigh will rot, and the woman will
....become a curse among her people.
28 But if the woman has not defiled herself, and is clean,
....then she shall be free and may conceive children.
29 This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, while under her
....husband's authority, goes astray and defiles herself,
30 or when the spirit of jealousy comes upon a man,
....and he becomes jealous of his wife; then he shall stand the woman
....before the LORD, and the priest shall execute all this law upon her.
31 Then the man shall be free from iniquity,
....but that woman shall bear her guilt.'
The curses - plagues - that follow are reminiscent of Egypt. The 'bowls of the wrath of the Lord' are seven:
BEYT: WIFE / RELATIONSHIP
............First Bowl: Loathsome Sores
GIMEL: ANGEL of DEATH: REWARD and PUNISHMENT
Second Bowl: Sea turns to blood - blood as of a 'dead man'
DALET: DOOR: LIFE & DEATH

CHET: CHUPPA / CONSUMMATE LIFE
Fourth Bowl: . Men scorched from the fire of the sun
YUD: HAND / AUTHORITY
Fifth Bowl: :... Darkness and Pain
LAMED: the HEART
Sixth Bowl: .. Euphrates [fruitfulness] dries up
TZADI: RIGHTEOUSNESS
Seventh Bowl: The earth utterly shaken
) ALEF: MASTER: READY TO ACCEPT CONTROL OR INSTRUCTION
1 Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels,
.."Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of GOD ) on the earth."
b BEYT: HOUSE: SON / WIFE RELATIONSHIP
2 So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a foul
..and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast b
..and those who worshiped his image.
Second Bowl: The Sea Turns to Blood
g GIMEL: ANGEL OF DEATH: REWARD or PUNISHMENT
3 Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became
..blood as of a dead man g; and every living creature in the sea died.
Third Bowl: The Waters Turn to Blood
d DALET: DOOR: LIFE & DEATH (in the power of the TONGUE)
4 Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water,
..and they became blood [ ed ]. d
h HEI: EXTENDED ARM: BEHOLD, also TAKE SEED and THOUGHTS, WORDS, ACTIONS
5 And I heard the angel of the waters saying:
.."You are righteous, O Lord,
.. The One who is and who was and who is to be,
.. Because You have judged these things.
The thoughts of heaven being expressed. The letter 'HEI VAV' depict 'He Himself' - and God is the 'one who is and who was and who is to be'.
w VAV: NAIL / CONNECT / LIGHT / UPRIGHT MAN
6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
..And You have given them blood to drink.
..For it is their just due."
z ZAYIN: SWORD: WORD of GOD / SABBATH REST
...........the SWORD brings JUDGMENT
7 And I heard another from the altar saying, "Even so, Lord
..God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments."
Fourth Bowl: Men Are Scorched
x CHET: CHUPPA: CONSUMMATE LOVE / LIFE
... the CHUPPA is the protection of marriage, Babylon is a harlot
8 Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power
...was given to him to scorch men with fire.
[See post 81 on 8-23-11 - letter CHET]
+ TET: SNAKE or GOOD WORD"
9 And men were scorched with great heat,
..and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues;
..and they did not repent and give Him glory.

Tet: the sefirah of yesod; peace.
Fifth Bowl: Darkness and Pain
y YUD: HAND: AUTHORITY
10 Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast,
....and his kingdom became full of darkness;
....and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.
YUD is AUTHORITY, also to THRUST the hand out in friendship. All this has been refused
k KAF: PALM of hand or CLOUD: POWER to SUPPRESS evil
11 They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains
....and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.
Sixth Bowl: Euphrates Dried Up
l LAMED: HEART or SHEPHERD STAFF: DISCIPLES
12 Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates,
....and its water was dried up, so that the way of the
....kings from the east might be prepared.
The kings from the east - not disciples - false shepherds.
m MEM: WATER / WISDOM of the WORD: MESSIAH
13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the
....mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast,
.... and out of the mouth of the false prophet.
n NUN: FISH or SEED: KINGDOM HEIR (S) / OFFSPRING
14 For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out
....to the kings of the earth and of the whole world,
....to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.
s SAMEK: CIRCLE or WEDDING RING
15"Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches,
....and keeps his garments [ayds ], lest he walk naked and they see his shame."
( AYIN: EYE or SHEEP: DIVINE PROVIDENCE
16 And they gathered them together [er(] to the place called in Hebrew [yrb(], Armageddon.
Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken
p PEH: MOUTH: CURSE or BLESSING
17 Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air,
....and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven,
... from the throne, saying, "It is done! "
c TZADI: FISH HOOK / RIGHTEOUSNESS / CHAOS
18 And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was
....a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not
....occurred since men were on the earth.
Obviously there is a lot of chaos occurring in this verse.
q QUF: MONKEY /IMITATION / SEPARATION
19 Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the
....nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God,
....to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath [yvcq].
r REISH HEAD / BEGINNING of wisdom
20 Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.
# SHIN: FIRE /
21 And great hail from heaven fell upon men,
...each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God
...because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.
Our God is a consuming FIRE and HEAVEN is FIRE and water - and great hail fell from 'heaven'.
FOOD for thought
Shalom!
