Are we Marriage Adultery Divorce – men ?
Mark 12
29 Jesus answered him, "The first of all the commandments is:
....'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.
30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart,....with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.'
....This is the first commandment.
31 And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'
....There is no other commandment greater than these.
"The Greek word for DIVORCE is ἀποστάσιον APOSTASION. The feminine form of this word is a)postasiða apostasia translated APOSTASY: falling away, defection, forsaking. Apostasion is from a presumed derivative ἀφίστημι aphistēmi: cause to withdraw, excite to revolt; remove, depart, desert, fall away, become faithless. Life, from the moment we are born, is a constant battle of overcoming sin and death. A marriage that was to be the exchange of love - love of God, love of husband / wife / children, love of all - turns into the battleground of self-will, lust and addiction: to sex, alcohol, drugs (including pharmakia which is sorcery when dependent), physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, promiscuity, co-dependence that is idolatry, and immorality of all kinds. The world, under the increasing spirit of lawlessness, has become a confusing place of 'what is of God' and 'what is not'. Under these circumstances home life for the child fails, and family patterns become a vicious cycle, and now one's own marriage is a casualty statistic.
John 3:17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world,
but that the world through Him might be saved.
Our past can not be undone, but through the blood of Jesus it is forgiven. Our present, especially if the above circumstances are present, calls not only for forgiveness but wisdom. Where Jesus was able, He removed Himself from abusive crowds, until He was taken by force. But in all His circumstances He waited on God and stood on His Word. Often husbands and wives must remove themselves from an abusive situation, just as a soldier would retreat to safety as he was able. But no situation, for the Christian, ever negates the Word of God. Separation is not divorce. It is often what they call 'tough love'. Christ, even now, after being treated violently, is separated from His Jewish brethren until they repent and ask Him to return.
God LOVES marriage - Malachi 2:11
God HATES divorce - - Malachi 2:16
What EXACTLY does the Word of the NEW COVENANT in his blood say to the Christian:The word is simple - if Christ wouldn't do it - neither should his disciple.
Given before Christ crucified:
John 14
15 If you love Me, keep My commandments.
21 He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.
Given after Christ crucified:
1John 52 By this we know that we love the children of God,
...when we love God and keep His commandments.
3 For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments
....And His commandments are not burdensome.
Romans 13:9
For the commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery,
you shall not murder, you shall not steal, you shall not bear false witness,
you shall not covet,' and if there is any other commandment,
are all summed up in this saying, namely, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.
But refuse the younger widows;

Sexual immorality / fornication: πορνεία porneia por-ni'-ah; illicit sexual intercourse
- adultery, fornication, homosexuality, lesbianism, intercourse with animals etc.
- sexual intercourse with close relatives; Lev. 18
- sexual intercourse with a divorced man or woman; Mk. 10:11,
- to prostitute one's body to the lust of another
- to give one's self to unlawful sexual intercourse
- to commit fornication

Now she who is really a widow, and left alone, trusts in God

But she who lives in pleasure is dead while she lives.
But refuse the younger widows;
for when they have begun to grow wanton against Christ,
they desire to marry, having condemnation
because they have cast off their first faith.
Therefore I desire that the younger widows marry,
bear children, manage the house,
give no opportunity to the adversary to speak reproachfully.
For some have already turned aside after Satan.
1 Thessalonians 4 3
For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should
..abstain from sexual immorality πορνεία porneia;
4 that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in
...sanctification and honor,
5 not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God;
6 that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this
...matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such,
...as we also forewarned you and testified.
7 For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.
8 Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God,
...who has also given us His Holy Spirit.
Thessalonians speaks of the GREAT APOSTASY.
..........2 Thessalonians 2
..........1 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ
.............and our gathering together to Him, we ask you,
..........2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by
............word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come
......... 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless
...........the falling away apostasia comes first, and the man of sin is revealed,
...........the son of perdition,
.........4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is
...........worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God,
...........showing himself that he is God.
We should possibly ask ourselves, particularly in issues of marriage and divorce - apostasion - if OUR choices that 'oppose God and exalt our ego (Easing God Out)' above the commandment of God 'reveal the man of sin'. Just as occurred in the garden. Just as Christ has extended mercy to us, forgiveness and love, He commands us to be and do the same.
Christ permits the divorcing of wives for sexual immorality πορνεία porneia
.........God's foresight for producing Godly offspring
.........Hebraicly the Mother is 'the bond of the family'.
Moses permitted divorcing of wives because of hardheartedness [(osteo) porosis*]Peter was given authority to 'bind (marry) and loose (divorce)' (Matthew 18)Although the provision of divorce is stated, it is not stated in the context of being free to remarry, only to provide legal separation.
*Osteoporosis is 'brittle (unstable) bones, one cause listed as a deficiency in calcium. Calcium's atomic number is 20 [REISH / head, beginning'. The wife being 'bone of his bone' - when there is an unstable bone condition (either man or woman), there is a deficiency in 'headship', either the wife to the husband, the husband to Christ, or all of the aforementioned.
1Peter 3
1 Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some
...do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives,
2 when they observe your chaste conduct accompanied by fear.
7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife,
...as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life,
...that your prayers may not be hindered.
8 Finally, all of you be of one mind,
...having compassion for one another; love as brothers
...be tenderhearted, be courteous;
9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing
...knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.
15 But sanctify ἁγιάζω hagiazō the Lord God in your hearts ...
hagiazō
1 to render or acknowledge, or to be venerable or hallow
2 to separate from profane things and dedicate to God
........a consecrate things to God
........b dedicate people to God
3 to purify
........a to cleanse externally
........b to purify by expiation; free from guilt of sin
........c to purify internally by renewing of the soul
TODAY - if we hear HIS VOICE - we all need to get down on our knees REPENT - and from this day forward - commit to walk in His Word. If we are living 'outside of His Word', we need to forsake this living. If we have committed to a marriage, outside of this Word, we are / and will be living out consequences.
I am in no way singling anyone out - I am as guilty as anyone: I have had several say, 'But God gave me a Word, God surely gave me a Scripture, God told me' . . . . GOD is the 'LIVING WORD' and does not go against HIMSELF. If your Scripture, your word, is not in agreement with His Word, to love Him and keep His commandments which are stated above - - then I would be questioning 'hearing from God' as opposed to even 'unconscious desires, from having been caught up in the vicious cycle. When Jesus was in the wilderness tempted of the devil, the devil used the Word of God, 'Surely this SAYS', but Jesus discerned that the Scripture was being misused and that it was not God and his final answer was 'No - I am to love God with my whole heart and keep his commandments'. Faith, prayer and fasting can produce results outside of the Word of God as well as 'in the Word of God'. The test is, ''Does it meet the basic commandments which God has given us to live by'. Can we call for Jesus to come back 'Come Lord Jesus COME - when we who take his name - live as 'false witnesses, living as the 'Gentiles do' and using the world's legal system to do it, after being instructed not to do that? Paul says, 'It is no longer I that sin, but that 'sin dwells in me'.' I'm not sure all what that totally means - -but I would rather not 'chance it'. IF the reason that we are shown - in the here and now - in 'our fleshly relationships' that 'sexual immorality particularly of the WIFE' is able to sever BLOOD COVENANT - - - what of the WIFE - we who 'call ourselves by the name of the 'bride', the Lamb's WIFE - - - will it be any different for each of us??? Lord, Lord, I prophesied, in your name, I cast out demons in your Name, I led people to Christ, I sent out devotions, I wrote this blog - - I, I , I, I - - - but I didn't love you enough to keep your commandments -
.................................................................YOUR BLOOD COVENANT.
The Corrupt Church
18 And to the angel of the church in Thyatira [odor of affliction] write ...
19 I know your works, love, service, faith, and your patience
;.....and as for your works, the last are more than the first.
20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you,
.....because you allow that woman Jezebel (unchaste, Baal is husband)
..... who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants
..... to commit sexual immorality πορνεία porneia; and eat things sacrificed to idols.
21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her
..... into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds.
23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know
.....that I am He who searches the minds and hearts
.....And I will give to each one of you according to your works.
24 Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira,
..... as many as do not have this doctrine,
..... who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say,
.....I will put on you no other burden.
25 But hold fast what you have till I come.
26 And he who overcomes (conquers), and keeps My works until the end,
.....to him I will give power over the nations
27"He shall rule them with a rod of iron; they shall be dashed to pieces
.....like the potter's vessels' as I also have received from My Father;
28 and I will give him the morning star.
29 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.'
Revelation 21:8
8 But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers,
...sexually immoral πόρνος pornos from pernemi:
sexually immoral, whoremonger, fornicator (different from porneia)
- a man who prostitutes his body to another's lust for hire
- a male prostitute
- a man who indulges in unlawful sexual intercourse; a fornicator
......1 John 1:6
........If we say that we have fellowship with him,
.......and walk in darkness skotiða skotia ,
.......we lie ψευδής pseudēs , and do not the truth:
darkness skotiða skotia
.....1 darkness.
.... 2 the darkness due to want of light
.... 3 metaphorically used of ignorance of divine things,
..........and its associated wickedness, and the resultant misery in hell
...... shall have their part μέρος meros (section, allotment) in the lake
.......which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
9 ... Come I will show you the BRIDE ... ....
Revelation 22:14-15
14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the
....right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.
15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and
....sexually immoral [pornos πόρνος to sell (sold under sin)] from
from the base of
.......pipraskō πιπράσκω
........1 of the master to whom one is sold as a slave
.......... metaphorically
............1 sold under sin, entirely under the control of the love of sinning
...........2 of one bribed to give himself up wholly to another’s will
....and murderers and idolaters ...
....and whoever loves and practices a lie.
SELAH .... think about it!
SHALOM!
