Blood Moons, Sackcloth Suns, Earthquakes and the witness of HEAVEN and EARTH

Genesis 1:14
Then God said, “Let there be lights [ma'owr:  heavenly luminaries: sun, moon, stars]
in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night;
and let them be for signs and seasons [mow`ed: appointed time; set feast], 
and for days and years 

When four blood moons occur as a 'cluster' they are called a 'tetrad'.  On April 14, 2014 - Passover (Nisan14) and October 9, 2014 - Sukkot (Tishrei 15)  Israel will witness blood moons on her feast days.  On March 21, 2015 beginning the biblical calendar year 1 Nisan,  a solar eclipse / sackcloth sun will occur and on Passover, 3 April 2015 (Nisan 14),  a lunar eclipse, blood moon will be seen.  Another solar eclipse will take place on September 14, 2015 - Rosh ha Shanah (Tishrei 1) with a lunar eclipse Tishrei 15 on Sukkot, 28 September 2015.

A biblical note on 'sackcloth', especially given the political climate and the upcoming solar eclipses:  DAMASCUS means 'silent is the SACKCLOTH WEAVER'. 

Eclipses occurring on the feast days were noted in 1494.  During the Spanish Inquisition, Christopher Columbus, known to be Genoese and believed to be a Jew by several, set sail for a new promised land, making 4 voyages over a 12 year period.  He set sail from Spain August 3, 1492 (9AV 5252) and arrived 'America', 21 Tishrei during Sukkot.   It is estimated that as many as 120,000 Jews fled from Spain to avoid  persecution.

Eclipses were absent on the feast days until reappearing again 1949-50 when Israel was forming their new government after being made a nation in 1948.  They occurred once more in 1967, when Jerusalem returned to the Jewish state.

After the eclipses of 2014-15 there will again be a 500 year, or more, lapse of occurrence.  A reason to believe that God will reveal something of significance knowing that Jerusalem will celebrate 50 years on 26 Iyar 5777 or 22 May 2017 (June 5/6 2017) and Israel 70th year  May 14, 2018.  [5 Iyar 5708 + 70 =  20 April 2018 on the Hebrew calendar]. 

To be remembered - these eclipses on the feast days are also shown to have occurred in 70AD, the destruction of the 2nd temple by the Romans on 9 Av.

Deuteronomy 4:26

4:25  When you beget children and grandchildren and have grown old in

         the land, and act corruptly and make a carved image in the form  of

         anything, and do evil in the sight of the Lord your God to provoke Him 

         to anger, 

4:26  I call HEAVEN AND EARTH  to witness against you this day, 

         that you will soon utterly perish from the land which you cross over

         the Jordan to possess; you will not prolong your days in it, 

         but will be utterly destroyed. 

4:27  And the Lord will scatter you among the peoples, and you will be

         left few in number among the nations where the Lord will drive you.

4:32  Out of heaven he made you to hear his voice, that he might instruct you: 

         and upon earth he showed you his great fire; 

         and you heard his words out of the midst of the fire. 

4:39  Know therefore this day, and consider it in your heart, 

         that the LORD he is God in heaven above, 

         and upon the earth beneath: there is none else.

After the disobedience / sin of Adam and woman in the garden, Eve [life-giver] brought forth a son, Cain [possession / also / lance/spear], who became a tiller of the ground.   She brought forth her second son Abel [breath], a keeper of sheep.  Cain killed his brother Abel and God put a mark [TAV / cross] on Cain that [Genesis 4:15] whosoever slays Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.

A sixth generation descendent of Cain, LAMECH also killed a man.  LAMECH is thought to mean powerful, in the sense of a 'wild man - to be humbled'.   Genesis 4:24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold.

Sarah, unable to conceive a child, gave Abraham her Egyptian bondmaid Hagar.  After Hagar conceived, her mistress Sarai was despised in her eyes, causing  Sarai [princess] to deal harshly with her.  Hagar [flight] fled to the wilderness, to be met by an Angel of the Lord who prophesied that her seed would be as multitude and 'he will be a wild man; his hand will be against every man, and every man's hand against him; and he shall dwell in the presence of all his brethren'.  Hagar was told to return and submit to her mistress.  

[Genesis 22:17] God promised Abraham [father of a multitude],  'I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore.'  Fourteen [nun /offspring / heir] years after Ishmael's birth, Abraham and Sarah had their 'promised' son, Isaac [laughter, as one who would laugh, mock, make sport of death].  When Ishmael mocked Isaac, Sarah told Abraham to cast out Hagar [flight] the Egyptian bondmaid and her son Ishmael [God will hear].  They wandered in 'Beersheba - the well of the seven-fold oath'.   There  'God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water', and Hagar gave Ishmael to drink.  Ishmael dwelt in the wilderness, 'increasing, becoming enlarged, numerous' as  an archer / bowman.  

Mary [whose name means rebellion], conceived by the Holy Spirit [Luke 1:35] giving birth to Jesus [salvation / saving health], believed to be on Sukkot. in Bethlehem [house of bread].  The root word of bread / lechem is 'lacham' meaning 'to do warfare'.  Wisemen from the east came to Jerusalem seeking to worship Him, and approached Herod,  [Matthew 2:2] 'Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star.'  Jesus spent his childhood years in Nazareth [the guarded one], openly declaring his ministry [Isaiah 61] in the power of the Spirit on Yom Kippur.    At the behest of the Sanhedrin, Jesus was arrested and given to the authority of Pontius [of the sea] Pilate [armed with a spear] and crucified on Passover. in the grave on Unleavened Bread, and risen from the dead on Firstfruits.

At Jesus death, a solar eclipse occurred:   [Matthew 27:45] Now from the sixth hour [noon] until the ninth hour [three PM] there was darkness over all the land.

Acts 2:19-20
And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord [Rosh ha Shanah] come:

Rosh ha Shanah Prayer

                   

God's appointed times are 'specific'.  God was incarnate on earth, the Word made flesh and dwelt among us [John 1: 1-14] at a specific appointed time.  He was crucified and died at God's appointed time:  Passover [Pesach].  He was in the grave celebrating the High Sabbath of Unleavened Bread [Matzah] at that specific time.  He rose from the dead, God's Firstfruits  [1Corinthians 15],  the firstborn from the dead [Colossians 1:18] - on the Feast of Firstfruits.  Jesus promised that He would send the Holy Spirit, for the law to be written on our hearts through His Holy Spirit - at a specific time - - on Shavuot [the Feast of Weeks] [Acts 2].

Jesus is going to RETURN - - AT A SPECIFIC, DESIGNATED, APPOINTED TIME:  at the time of His Fall Feasts.  Just as God had Jonah (whose name means 'dove' (known for 'the warmth of its mating'), preach to the Ninevites that they not be destroyed, God had Jesus (whom the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him) preach to the Jewish nation that they not be destroyed, Paul preach the Gentiles that they not be destroyed, you and I preach to our neighbor that they not be destroyed - - God's Word yet calls for REPENTANCE that no man perish and ALL come to repentance [2 Peter 3:9] - - that the evil of the severe decree be removed.

 

2 Peter 3:9-12

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, 

but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish 

but that ALL should come to repentance.

But the DAY OF THE LORD will come as a thief in the night, 

in which the 

--> heavens will pass away with a great noise, 

and the elements will melt with fervent heat; 

both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.   

Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, 

what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,  

looking for and hastening the coming of THE DAY OF GOD because of 

which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, 

and the elements will melt with fervent heat?   

Nevertheless we, according to His promise, 

look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

The following is the full translated text of the great prayer, "U'Netaneh Tokef," attributed to Rabbi Amnon of Mainz, as related to Rabbi Klonimus ben Meshullam

THE ARK BEING OPEN: 

Congregation and chazzan:
So now, the Kedushah prayer shall ascend to You, for You, our God, are King.

Congregation and chazzan:

Let us now relate the power of this day's holiness, for it is awesome and frightening. On it Your Kingship will be exalted; Your throne will be firmed with kindness and You will sit upon it in truth. It is true that You alone are the One Who judges, proves, knows, and bears witness; Who writes and seats, (counts and calculates); Who remembers all that was forgotten. You will open the Book of Chronicles - it will read itself, and everyone's signature is in it. The great shofar will be sounded and a still, thin sound will be heard. Angels will hasten, a trembling and terror will seize them - and they will say, 'Behold, it is the Day of Judgment, to muster the heavenly host for judgment!'- for they cannot be vindicated in Your eyes in judgment. 
Chazzan:

All mankind will pass before You like members of the flock.  Like a shepherd pasturing his flock, making sheep pass under his staff, so shall You cause to pass, count, calculate, and consider the soul of all the living; and You shall apportion the fixed needs of all Your creatures and inscribe their verdict.

For Your Name signifies Your praise: hard to anger and easy to appease, for You do not wish the death of one deserving death, but that he repent from his way and live. Until the day of his death You await him; if he repents You will accept him immediately.

Chazzan:
It is true that You are their Creator and You know their inclination, for they are flesh and blood. A man's origin is from dust and his destiny is back to dust, at risk of his life he earns his bread; he is likened to a broken shard, withering grass, a fading flower, a passing shade, a dissipating cloud, a blowing wind, flying dust, and a fleeting dream.

But You are the King, the Living and Enduring G-d.

There is no set span to Your years and there is no end to the length of Your days. It is impossible to estimate the angelic chariots of Your glory and to elucidate Your Name's inscrutability. Your Name is worthy of You and You are worthy of Your Name, and You have included Your Name in our name.

 
Just as Christ fulfilled Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits - - He will also fulfill Rosh ha Shanah [Trumpets], Yom Kippur [Atonement], and Sukkot [Tabernacles]. 

Rosh ha Shanah [1 and 2 Tishrei] , generally in the month of September, is known as the 'Day of Judgment', also known as  the 'time of Jacob's time trouble ',  'the Great Tribulation, the Day of the Lord, the Great Day of Wrath.  
   
Rosh ha Shanah is not declared until the 'new moon' is sighted.  Just as in the days past,  two witnesses were sent to the mountain to await sighting the new moon and then blow trumpets to awake those sleeping that the 'feast had begun' ,  two witnesses in Revelation may also signal the 'sighting of the new moon.

Rosh ha Shanah will herald the CORONATION of the KING, the WEDDING of MESSIAH.  


 Acts 1:11
who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?   
THIS SAME JESUS, who was taken up from you into heaven, 
will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.”

Zechariah 14:1-4
Behold, THE DAY OF THE LORD is coming 
and your spoil will be divided in your midst.
For I will gather all the nations to battle against Jerusalem;

Acts 3:17-24

 Yet now, brethren, I know that you did it in ignorance, as did also your rulers.  

But those things which God foretold by the mouth of all His prophets, 

that the Christ would suffer, He has thus fulfilled. 

Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, 

so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,   

and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 

whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, 

which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began.

The sixth letter of the Hebrew alphabet is VAV which means HOOK.  Its ancient symbol was a 'tent peg'.  Recall the 2nd  letter beyt, the ancient symbol a ‘tent’, the place of family relationship.  The VAV Is the anchor of the ‘tent’. 

The ‘name’ of this letter is the UPRIGHT MAN or also called STRAIGHT LIGHT because of its ‘laser form’.  When Saul was on the road to Damascus (silent is the sackcloth weaver), he was struck by a bright light and told to go to the ‘street STRAIGHT’, where he would receive his sight.  Saul / Paul was also shown the many things he would suffer for the cause of Christ.

When the 'tent of meeting' was built,  VAVIM were ‘hooks’ that held the curtains in place.  VAV is often translated as the word AND indicating a CONNECTION point.  When you view a Torah Scroll, almost every page, considered a ‘curtain of light’, begins with a VAV. 

In Revelation 5 the 'scroll' is written on 'both sides' sealed with seven seals.  Revelation 6 describes the first 6 seals.  In Matthew 24, the apostles ask Jesus about the 'end of the age'.  It is here that Jesus gives insight to these seals:

Matthew 24:3  

Tell us, when will these things be? 

And what will be the sign of Your coming, 

and of the end of the age?”

24:6  First: You will hear of wars and rumors of wars - - but the end is not yet.
24:7 Second: For nation will rise against nation,
24:7 Third: and kingdom against kingdom
24:7 Fourth: And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

24:9 Fifth: THEN they will deliver you up to TRIBULATION AND KILL YOU,
                 24:10 AND THEN many will be offended, 

                           will betray one another, and will hate one another.
                 24:11 THEN many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
                 24:12 And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.

24:13 Sixth: ............... THEN THE END WILL COME 

                But he who endures TO THE END will be saved.

Revelation 6 begins alluding to WAR revealing a 'white horse' , its rider  a CONQUEROR -having a BOW and a  CROWN.  The horse is then seen as 'red', not peace, but war, the horse turns 'black' with troublesome laws regarding 'buying and selling', and then the 'pale horse' brings death to 1/4 of the earth.  The Word tells us that this is JUST THE BEGINNING of travail / birthpangs,  and that just as Christ was betrayed by Judas, betrayal and death - TRIBULATION -  awaits Jew and Gentile for those who stand in the faith of God JESUS CHRIST.    AND THEN - -  the end will come.   So the question comes - - where are we in this process?  Is our faith - --  real faith - unwavering faith ?  Matthew  and Mark relate martyrdom following the 'beginning of sorrows'.  Luke notes martyrdom also precedes the 'beginning of sorrows, and indeed it has for many - - for Jews (Holocaust and much more) and Christians alike - -since the time of Christ.

                    Ephraim [double ash-heap]*,  and raised up your sons,
                    O Zion [parched place], against your sons, O Greece [wine], and made you
                    like the sword of a mighty man.  

                  *Jerusalem has been a 'double ash heap' with the destruction of both temples.
                   Zion and Greece is the 'same word' with one exception.  When you attach the
                   letter 'Tzadi / Righteousness'  as the first letter of Greece, Greece then 
                   changes from Greece to Zion.

                                                  You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers,

           THEN  many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.  
           And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. 
                  Mark 13:9 for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. 
                                  You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them ...  

                            12  Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; 
                                  and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

6:9     FIFTH SEAL:  The Cry of the Martyrs
6:10     How long, O Lord, holy and true,
            until You judge and avenge our blood
            on those who dwell on the earth?”  ...

            it was said to them that they should rest a little while longer,
            until both the number of their fellow servants and their brethren,
            who would be killed as they were, was completed.

 Matthew 24: 13 -14   He who endures to the END will be saved.
              And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached
              in all the world as a witness to all the nations,
              and THEN  the end will come.
                       
                    Mark 13:13  But he who endures to the END  shall be saved.
 

 Matthew 24: 15 -25
            Therefore when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’
            spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place”
            (whoever reads, let him understand),  
            then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 
            Let him  who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 
            And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes.  
            But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 
            And pray that your flight may not be in winter [Shevat (rod) / Adar / Purim ?]  
            or on the Sabbath [Rosh ha Shanah] / Yom Teruah / Yom Kippur?]. 
           For then there will be great tribulation,
            such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time,
            no, nor ever shall be.   And unless those days were shortened,
            no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.
                    Elect:  Israel [Isaiah 42: 1;  45: 4; 65: 9 & 22 ]
           Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. 
            For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive,
            if possible, even the elect.  See, I have told you beforehand.

             Mark 13:14-20  So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,

                          Luke 21:20-24  But when you see JERUSALEM SURROUNDED BY ARMIES

                                           then know that ITS DESOLATION is near.  Then let those

                                          who  are  in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst

                                          of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 

                                          FOR THESE ARE THE DAYS OF VENGEANCE,  

                                          that ALL things which are written may be fulfilled.  

                                          But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies

                                          in those days! For there will be great distress in the land 
                                          and wrath upon this people. 

                                          And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive 

                                          into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles*

                                          until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.


* Some cite 70AD as the fulfillment of Jerusalem's DESOLATION, and indeed there was a 'desolation'.  But when one is looking at Scripture in fulfillment of the Biblical Feasts - - Jerusalem's desolation in 70AD occurred on the 9th of Av (the fifth month).  The Feast of Rosh ha Shanah (the 7th month) is the expected time of 'tribulation / desolation', that there will be 'none like it, before or after'.

            Lamentations 1   How lonely sits the city  that was full of people!   
            How like a widow is she, who was great among the nations!
            The princess among the provinces has become a slave! 

            All her friends have dealt treacherously with her; 

            they have become her enemies. 

            Judah has gone into captivity, under affliction and hard servitude;
            she dwells among the nations; she finds no rest;
            All her persecutors overtake her in dire straits.

            Her adversaries have become the master,  her enemies prosper;              

            For the Lord has afflicted her because of the multitude of her transgressions.
            Her children have gone into captivity before the enemy.

Her princes have become like deer that find no pasture,
That flee without strength before the pursuer. 
 

Jerusalem has sinned gravely,

 She did not consider her destiny; therefore
her collapse was awesome; for the enemy is exalted!     

For she has seen the nations enter her sanctuary, those whom You commanded
Not to enter Your assembly. 

 All her people sigh, they seek bread; they have given their valuables for food to restore life.
“See, O Lord, and consider, for I am scorned.” “Is it nothing to you, all you who pass by?
Behold and see if there is any sorrow like my sorrow, which has been brought on me,
Which the Lord has inflicted IN THE DAY OF HIS FIERCE ANGER.

                                 

 He has made me  DESOLATE



He made my strength fail;   
the Lord delivered me into the hands of those whom I am not able to withstand.
 
The Lord has trampled underfoot  all my mighty men in my midst;

He has called an assembly against me to crush my young men; 
The Lord  trampled as in a winepress  the virgin daughter of Judah

Matthew 24: 29
Sixth:    Immediately after the tribulation of those days
             the sun will be darkened,                    [solar eclipse]
            and the moon will not give its light;   [lunar eclipse]
            the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
            Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven,
            and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn,
            and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
            And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet,
            and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

          Mark 13:24  “But in those days, AFTER THAT TRIBULATION  
                               the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;   
                               the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.   
                              THEN they will see the Son of Man coming in the clouds 
                              with great power and glory.   AND THEN He will send His angels, 
                              and gather together His elect from the four winds, 
                              from the farthest part of earth to the farthest part of heaven.  


                             Luke 21:25   And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; 
                                              and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, 
                                              the sea and the waves roaring;   men’s hearts failing them from fear  
                                              and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, 
                                              for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.  Then they will 
                                              see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.  
                                              Now when these things begin to happen, look up and
                                              lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.”


         Revelation 6
6:12     SIXTH SEAL:  COSMIC DISTRUBANCES 
 

6:12   a great earthquake; 
          and the sun became black as sackcloth  of hair,  [solar eclipse]
          and the moon became like blood.                         [lunar eclipse] 
6:13   And the stars of heaven of heaven fell to the earth, 
          as a fig tree [Israel] drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind.  
6:14  Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, 
          and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.  
6:15   And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, 
         the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves 
         and in the rocks of the mountains,  
6:16  and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us 
         from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of  the Lamb
6:17  For THE GREAT DAY OF HIS WRATH has come, 
         and who is able to stand?
