Singing in the Spirit

The Hebrew word for sing - also song - is ry#  pronounced ‘sheer’ from the primitive root rw# pronounced ‘shoor’. We often hear of ‘singing in the spirit’ --  and giving glory to God.  This would be ‘the picture’.   As the Scriptures say, ‘we have passed from death to life’ and that is His song – and it is our song.
