Keeping KOSHER?

2 Timothy 1:6-14

7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear,

but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

 

 

 

2 Corinthians 10:4
And did all drink the same spiritual drink:
for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them:
and that Rock was Christ.

Messiah, Christ, Prince of Peace [Isaiah 9:6], HEAD of the body [Colossians 1:18].  Israel [he will rule as a prince]  was led from Egypt with a 'CLOUD' by day, a FIRE by night,  to be delivered from 'idolatry' and learn a KOSHER life, a life of 'power, love, and a sound mind'. God's desire is to deliver from a stony (hard) heart to His heart of love [Ezekiel 36:26; 2 Corinthians 3:3].

1 Samuel 15:23
For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, 
and stubbornness פצר patsar paw-tsar' 
 פצר = a  'צר rock  פ mouth
hard-heartedness 
  is as iniquity and idolatry.

Stubbornness [untamable]:  
having or showing dogged determination not to change one's attitude or position 
on something, esp. in spite of good arguments or reasons to do so 


Luke 6:45
... for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.

Deuteronomy 28:47
Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joyfulness, 
and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things;

8 Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord,

... nor of me His prisoner, but share with me in the sufferings

... for the gospel according to the power of God,

9 who has saved us and called us with a holy calling,

... not according to our works, but according to His own purpose

... and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began,

10 but has now been revealed by the appearing of our

... Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death and brought life

... and immortality to light through the gospel,

11 to which I was appointed a preacher, an apostle,

... and a teacher of the Gentiles.

12 For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am

... not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded

... that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.

13 Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me,

... in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

14 That good thing which was committed to you,

... keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.
