The 'vavim / hooks' held the curtains of the tabernacle. The curtains are as 'sheets of light' just as the pages of Scripture act as 'sheets of light'. Christ, the light, the upright man, is the 'connection' between heaven and earth, Son of God and Son of Man. Christ is our connection to eternal life.
