LEX TALONIS is the law of retaliation, whereby a punishment resembles the offense committed in kind and degree. This is where 'an eye for eye, a tooth for a tooth' and 'gnashing of teeth' gets its meaning. A tooth is 'sharp' meaning to teach (incisively), to pierce to desire lex talonis.

Genesis 15
..2.But Abram said, "Lord GOD, what will You give me, seeing I go childless,

18 On the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying:

y# (shay) means a GIFT as 'HOMAGE', the original use of the word homage denoted the ceremony by which a vassal declared himself to be his lord's “man”. Abram (the exalted father) was 'the Lord's man' predestined to become 'the father of a multitude (Abraham). This APPOINTMENT ty# was 'in the beginning' through ty# 'Seth', through Abraham, through his rb SON / HEIR Isaac [to laugh / make sport of / mock (death)], in and with ty WHOM God would establish His covenant. ty WHOM in this form is used once in the book of Daniel (the judge) as designating 'certain Jews WHOM' are set over the affairs of Babylon (confusion by mixing) where Jews are in captivity.

Daniel 3:12
There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province
of Babylon, Shadrach [the great scribe / royal], Meshach [guest of the king],
and Abednego [servant of Nebo / keeper of the letters]; these men,O king,
have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods,
nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

Jesus, Son of God [Matthew 26:63-64], Son of Man [John 5:25-27], heir to the throne [Hebrews 1:2], creating his bride, the holy Jerusalem [Revelation 21] in His self-same image [Revelation 12:11]. The 'choicest, best' [144,000] saved until last, [Revelation 14:1-5] revealed by fire, not loving their lives to the death [Revelation 12:11] , the Lord's own to 'whom' the kingdom affairs are committed [Revelation 20:5]. BRAShYT is a covenant foundation for God's 'firstfruit wife', the fulfillment of what appears to be the 144,00 Jewish believers, who overcome by the blood of the Lamb, the word of their testimony and love not their lives to the death. Bone of his bone (self-same substance) and flesh of his flesh of which the 'body of Christ' becomes united in and 'one' in this relationship:

Revelation 12:11

The he-goat (to butt / striker) to be prince /ruler. (An attack on the city) will reveal an ambush in which there will be great abundance. Jerusalem will dwell with her husband - Jesus Christ.
